AI News Roundup: Gemini 4 Argon, AI Security Hunting, and Free Voice Mode

Google opens Gemini 4 Argon to developers and enterprises, Chainguard turns a frontier model into a vulnerability hunter, and xAI makes conversational voice free with live translation.

Here is the AI news from the last day that matters for teams shipping agents and voice products. Every item links to its source.

Google opens Gemini 4 Argon

On October 13, Google made Gemini 4 Argon available globally for developers and enterprises through the Gemini API, and for Google AI Ultra and Pro subscribers in the Gemini app and AI Mode in Search. Google positions Argon for deep, multi-step work in coding, finance, legal, cybersecurity and science, and says it ranks first on the Vals Index across those sectors. Launch pricing is $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens through November 30, with a 1M unified input-output token limit on the API. (Google)

Chainguard ships AI-powered vulnerability hunting

On October 14, Chainguard introduced Harness, which uses Anthropic's Claude Mythos 5.1 to probe a live, isolated build of an application and deliver verified findings with recommended fixes. The offering is available through the Claude Marketplace. A day earlier, Chainguard published the harness's first public finding: a bug in open-source LLM server vLLM (before v0.31.0) where one client could force the output of another client's request on a shared engine. The fix shipped in v0.31.0. (Chainguard Harness, vLLM disclosure)

xAI makes Grok Voice Mode free, adds live translation

xAI opened Grok's conversational Voice Mode to all users at no charge and added real-time, two-way spoken translation across dozens of languages. The update is rolling out on the Grok app and in Tesla vehicles, aiming at everyday spoken use rather than subscription-only voice. (All Things Elon)

Why it matters for your business

Frontier models are getting cheaper to call and better at long agent tasks, while security teams are pointing those same models at live software. Voice is also becoming a default interface, not a paid add-on. If you sell by phone, that is the moment to put a fast, accountable voice agent on your leads. With Ozkra, AI handles the first conversation and a human closer takes it from there. Ready to try it? Get in touch.
